Kane and Lynch are undoubtedly one of the most intriguing pairings ever to appear in a game, not only because they met on death row, but also because they have a strong dislike for one another. The only thing that both men have in common as far as we can tell is that they both ended up on death row after having family members die under tragic circumstances.

The backstories for Kane and Lynch will be told as you progress through the game, so all that you really need to know at this point is that Kane is an ex-mercenary who's widely regarded as a traitor by his peers, and Lynch is a schizophrenic who may or may not have murdered his wife while not in control of his actions. The two are compelled to team up when, while en route to their respective executions, they are kidnapped by a team of mercenaries known as The Seven and made offers that they can't refuse.

The Sims, lacking definite goals or objectives, which are common in most other computer games, focuses entirely on the lives of virtual people called Sims, placing the player in control of their virtual "world" and their daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, reading, and bathing. Will Wright, the game's designer, calls it a "digital dollhouse". Although players are encouraged to make their own characters, certain pre-made characters, such as the Newbie and Goth family, have become popular.

The player controls almost all aspects of the lives of a family either premade or self-created. Many choices lead a player's sim to a large family or a lonely life.

The idea for The Sims is thought to be drawn from Will Wright's experience in the 1991 Oakland firestorm, when his house and many of his possessions were burned down in the fire.[3][4] Wright was required to move his family elsewhere and rebuild his life; these events led to Will's inspiration of creating a simulated game about life. The game is also loosely based on SimCity, another computer game designed by Wright in which the player must manage a city and its citizenry, dubbed "Sims." The idea of "simulated people" led Wright to believe that he could program and design the perfect construct of the main aspects that a computer or video game possesses.

Wright originally proposed the idea of a virtual "dollhouse" to Maxis in 1993 while the idea was still in development, although the proposal was met with skepticism by staff;[5] computer hardware during the period was not thought to be capable of running such a simulation smoothly. In 1995, Wright was offered an opportunity from Electronic Arts to continue developing the concept and game so that EA could publish it.[verification needed] Development of the game, initially dubbed "Project X," commenced in 1995.[verification needed]

After production for the game finally began in 1995, Wright was interviewed about his idea in a PC Magazine article published around 1995, in which he talked about the chance for players to control a computer generated character in their own environment.[verification needed]

In 1997, the name of the game was changed from "Project X" to "The Sims" as a reference to Will Wright's earlier "Sim" games, which had been very successful in the early- to mid-1990s.

Get behind the steering wheel of one of the many different bus models and master one of the countless tracks in the fictional city Megacity.

But keep and eye on the timeplan and transport as many passengers as possible. Reckless driving or unpunctuality will result in a bad reputation and penalty fees.
Only when you keep the schedule, you can arrive at the bus stop when the most passengers are waiting. Too early or too late and you won’t be able to sell that many tickets.
Depending on your success and reputation, the tracks get more difficult, longer and more complex.
Choose between different bus models, 8 different bus models are already included, more can be downloaded via the internet. But remember, only paying passengers will result in enough cashflow necessary to run the bus company.
Buy or rent larger busses, keep the service running and check up on all busses. Or invest in ad campains or special offers to attract more customers.
Extra income can be generated by renting ad spaces on the busses.
A total of 18 completely different tracks through different districts (suburbs, downtown, industrial, business center etc.) offer long hours of fun and challenges.

Data recovery software is usually useful if you install it before you lose data. Whenever you write to your hard disk, previously deleted data is overwritten. Normally Windows does not completely remove a file or folder when you delete it. Windows just removes the reference of that file, so it won't be visible anymore. Of course you can completely erase a file (secure erase), but if you do this you almost sure won't be able to recover it.

Recover My Files scans the disks you specify for deleted data. You can choose between fast and complete recovery. In addition, you can choose to recover files on you hard disk or to recover a formatted drive. It's also possible to select which types of files you want to search. The scan process runs separately, so you are able to see in real-time the files it finds.

The files found by the program are displayed either by folder, or by their type. The files that are in good condition can also be previewed. Extra information is usually available. The original file's size, the resolution of pictures, or the list of files from an archive is sometimes shown. Each file has a checkbox next to it, so you can choose which files you want to save. The recovered files can be saved to a folder on your hard disk or to a CD or DVD disc.

Pluses: Filtering the scan results is possible. You can filter the results depending on their filename, their size, or their date. Exporting the results to CSV format is also possible.

Konami’s re-release of the popular Metal Gear Solid 2 title, on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC, expands gameplay with added options, and features. The largest addition to gameplay are the over 200 fun and challenging VR missions split between four specific modes– Sneaking mode, Weapon mode, First Person View mode, and Variety mode.

In addition to VR missions, Alternative missions have also been included; allowing players to test their skills in Bomb Disposal mode, Photograph mode, Hold Up mode, and Elimination mode. Play as Solid Snake in the new Snake Tales missions, which incorporate everyone’s favorite MGS character into five new action-packed stories.
